What’s Happening in February 2023

February is often seen as a transitional month, sandwiched between the dreariness of January and the excitement of March, when the weather starts to warm up and the days get longer.

 

 

There are, however, some things to get excited about this February with great days and events in store. Check them out below!

 

Six Nations Kicks Off

 

 

First and foremost, rugby fans will be thrilled to know that the Six Nations tournament will start on Saturday the 4th of February with Ireland kicking off their campaign away to Wales followed by games home and away against France & Italy on the 11th & 25th.

 

February Bank Holiday

 

 

In addition to the Six Nations fixtures, February also brings the annual bank holiday on Monday, February 6th. This long weekend is the perfect opportunity to take a break, whether you’re planning a short trip or simply looking for a relaxing staycation.

 

 

Valentines Day

 

 

Whether you’re single or in a relationship Valentines Day on the 14th of February is a great excuse to treat yourself or your other half to a special day. From romantic dinners to thoughtful gifts, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the day of love.

 

 

Pancake Day!

 

 

Finally, February 21st marks Pancake Tuesday, a traditional celebration of the last day before the start of Lent. It’s a great excuse to indulge in some delicious pancakes and enjoy a fun-filled day with family and friends.
