Customer information on the Coronavirus (Covid-19)

 

Dear reader,

 

We wanted to share with you, our approach to the Covid-19 outbreak.

 

Rest assured that this is a matter of paramount importance to us as a company, with employee and customer safety being our top priority. We are strictly following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and of the national health authorities in Ireland. We also ask our customers to keep up to date with the latest events and recommendations for action with the same authorities.

 

Some of the measures that we have implemented so far to protect our staff and customers are:

  • We are increasing the regularity of car cleans and have made improvements to our car cleaning process with the introduction of disinfectant.
  • Hand sanitisers and anti-bacterial hand wash have been installed in our offices and technical facilities, while staff who are working on vehicles are washing their hands regularly.
  • We are coordinating with our colleagues in the Europcar Mobility Group in Ireland and internationally to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information required to take the most appropriate actions.

 

We feel that our services are very important to our customers at this time, so we will do all we can to ensure consistent availability of vehicles.

 

We can all play a part in keeping each other – our loved ones, friends and communities – healthy and safe. What we ask from you is:

  • Please don’t take a journey in one of our vehicles if you feel that you are showing any of the symptoms of the virus. See the HSE website for details.
  • Where possible, we ask that you wipe down steering wheels and other surfaces you come into contact with.
  • Where possible, wash your hands before and after driving with us.
  • Please ensure that you do not leave rubbish of any kind in a vehicle after use.
  • There is a standard gap between bookings, to ensure that customers are not immediately swapping into vehicles. We ask you to respect your booking time and ensure that you return the vehicle on time.
  • We remind our customers that our cancellation policy guarantees a free cancellation up to 24 hours before the pick-up time. For any additional questions about modifications or cancellations to your bookings with us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on info@gocar.ie
